Brightly coloured blue green Boulder Opals are the order of the day.
This is a special piece as it was originally an opal split but upon reflection and many years in my special draw I decided the colours were just too good not to create some thing magical for others to enjoy.

As they are a split (cleaved from the same vein) I haven’t needed to polish or grind the surface, they are both still in their natural state. It also saves the thickness by not grinding away the precious opal. Nature made it shine and that’s how I have presented it to you.

Set in 9k yellow gold on a sterling silver open back plate.  I have incorporated the prettiest burnt orange sapphires and  gorgeous organic shaped Keishi pearls.

Opal TCW: 2.95

Total Gram weight: 3.719

Length:  37 mm

Width:  10 mm

I am a Lapidary as well as a jeweller so I am able to bring you uniquely made one of a kind jewellery.

Please be aware that these Opals may have natural pits and markings. They are as nature intended I have only cut, shaped and polished, I have not even tried to remove any imperfections.

If you've never had a little bit of Australia how better to start than with a collectible piece. Or you may be in love with Opals like me and can't help but add to your collection.

Frequently asked question:  Can my Opal go in water?

Yes. All solid Australian Opals CAN go into water.  They are not porous.  Australian Opal are the most durable of all the Opals.  Please don't confuse other Opal with Australian Opal.  The only time you need to be careful of submerging Australian Opal in water is when they are doublets and triplets because of the glue used to hold the slice of Opal onto the backing.  Anyone who sells doublets or triplets should give you full disclosure.  All my Opals are solid and will not change or alter in water. Guaranteed!!

*all photos are taken by me on my iPhone. Sunlight and direct light is the best way to see the beauty and intensity of colour in an Opal.
